Founded in March 2026 by Boyde and Regina McMakin, Makin’ The Cut Golf is the culmination of a lifelong passion for the game and a fresh vision for the future.

 

Our Story

 

After more than 30 years in the RV industry, Boyde decided it was time to shift gears. He wanted to merge his decades of corporate experience with the sport he loves most. The spark for Makin’ The Cut came from a simple, personal need: Boyde wanted to improve his own game.

 

He realized that if he was looking for better ways to practice and refine his swing, there were countless other golfers out there feeling the exact same way. Together with Regina, they envisioned a space where technology and community meet to help every golfer—from the casual hobbyist to the dedicated pro—reach their full potential.

At Makin’ The Cut, we believe golf is at its best when it’s shared. Our facility is designed to serve as:

We are proud to offer a premier practice space for local high school and college golfers to hone their skills and represent our community on the green.
